BIKING IS MORE THAN PEDALLING...
Actually I come from Bad Schönau in Lower Austria. I first came to
South Tyrol in 1995 and stayed, ultimately, for love.
Cycling was initially just a hobby: I began to explore the trails of the region
and soon realised what great potential this
biking paradise holds. In 2001,
I was struck with the idea of training as a
bike guide, as a second career.
The logical consequence was the
founding of Krauti's Bike Academy.
I am also a co-founder of the
Association of South Tyrol Bike Guides
and have been on the board of South Tyrol Bike Hotels since 2007.
My vision sounds hopeful: in the coming years, I would like to see the
region of South Tyrol, especially around Catinaccio (Rosengarten) and
Latemar, become the best cycling area in the world!
