Plose
Panoramic trails high above Bressanone/Brixen
Mountainbike
From the diocesan town up to the summit of the Plose. A splendid descent across the north ridge with fabulous trails straight out of a picture book. We leave the centre of Bressanone by cycling along the Isarco and warm up on a short, but undulating path to Albes. This is where the long, strenuous climb to the Eores Valley begins. The tour continues through Palmschoss/Plancios on gravel with several hairpin bends up to Val Croce. Alternatively, you can take the cable car up to S. Andrea and thus spare yourself the energy-draining climb of 980 metres in altitude. The last few metres in altitude to the Plose chalet have to be mastered on gravel; here you enjoy a fantastic vies of the Sass di Putia and the Odle (refreshment facilities). The fantastic downhill run begins at the telegraph. A wonderful, but at times difficult trail leads down to the Plose saddle and Ochsenalm Alpine meadow. The tour continues through the changing scenery of the forest to San Leonardo and then down on the road to S. Andrea. A brisk climb back to Bressanone forms the conclusion to this challenging tour of the summits.
