Tierser Alpl Refuge

254 Tierser Alpl refuge access road

Mountainbike

This alternative route has it all: The exceptionally steep access trail to the Tierser Alpl Refuge gives you the chance to extend the Duron Valley tour, and leads to this breathtaking mountain hut amidst the rock formations of the Rosszahn and the Rosengarten Antermoia.

Directions

Undoubtedly, the hardest stretch of mountain bike routes on the Seiser Alm is the Tierser Alpl Refuge variant of the Seiser Alm hut tour. As an add-on to the Duron valley route, this stretch is suitable only for true fighters and pros. Head up the steep, partially-unsurfaced trail to the Tierser Alpl Refuge (2,440 m) and down again. At the top, at the foot of the Rosszähne, the views of the Plattkofel and the Langkofel peaks are indescribably beautiful, as are the Sella Group to the north and the opening to the Tschamin valley to the south.
