Witnesses to the event recall the air-raid of 1943 which created the small lake at the Wuhnleger. It is now home to toads, salamanders and dragonflies, and showcases an immense biodiversity. The view of the Catinaccio and the Torri del Vajolet together with their mirror-image in the lake is an unmissable natural spectacle.
From the tourist office Tiers am Rosengarten (or alternatively from the Tiers cable car), take the main road to the little church of St. Zyprian. There the path branches off in the direction of the Weißlahnbad parking lot. You can stop for refreshments at the Tschamin Schwaige before heading up to the right shortly after Weisslahnbad to the highlight of the tour, the Wuhnleger Weiher lake. The way back is the same as the way there
· On the mountain you greet each other, this is tradition and this applies to bikers and hikers
· Give way to pedestrians
· Respect signage and stay on the trail/path
· Close pasture gates and don’t scare/stroke animals
· Always ride in a way that allowes you to stop in case of emergency (ride with foresight)
· Use your brakes smoothly in order not to ruin trails, paths and gravel roads
