Bike route - Sand in Taufers/Campo Tures - St. Peter/S. Pietro

This bike tour is an experience for athletes and hobby cyclists and can of course also be enjoyed in sections. The adventure route can be started either at the valley entrance or in St. Peter/San Pietro. It is recommended that inexperienced "cyclists" plan the tour out of the valley.Starting from Sand in Taufers/Campo Tures, at the end of the village you will see the castle on the mountainside. The first short climb begins on the left side of the stream. The cycle path leads you towards the Speikboden valley station. Before you reach the lifts, switch to the right side of the stream. The tour continues along the river Ahr to Luttach/Lutago. Past the centre and on to Oberluttach/Lutago di sopra, another climb awaits you, leading up to the next valley floor. A small road leads to St. Martin/San Martino and from there back to the main road. After a short while, the road turns right off the main road Ahrntaler Straße and reaches the village centre of St. Johann/San Giovanni. After the church, the trail leads over the bridge to Steinhaus/Cadipietra. The route leads from the Klausberg valley station always along the stream, into the valley until you reach the Ahrntaler Straße again. A few hundred metres along the road and you reach the cycle path section that leads you along the shore to St. Peter/San Pietro.Sand in Taufers/Campo Tures - St. Peter/San Pietro - 19 km
