Auer/Ora - Kalterer See Round
The bike tour from Auer to Lake Kaltern passes through vineyards and orchards. After a gentle ascent, you reach the lake and can enjoy the magnificent view.

Directions
The tour starts next to Hotel Elefant in Auer. From there, ride along Palain Street (Via Palain) and follow the cycle path alongside the Adige River towards Bolzano.
Cross the Adige River and continue onto road Laimburg. Follow this road over the hill until you reach the road Klughammer.
Continue along the road to St. Josef am See, passing the Church of St. Joseph. At the first intersection after the church, turn left and follow road Gmund.
Finally, cross the Adige River once again and return to the centre of Auer, where the tour ends.

Description to arrive at destination
Auer is easily accessible via the A22 Brenner Motorway. After taking the Neumarkt–Auer exit, follow the signs to the town centre.

At Heinrich-Lona-Platz in the centre of Auer.
Public transport
- Travel by train from Bolzano to Auer. From Auer railway station, take bus line 122 or 140 and get off at the Auer Hilbweg bus stop.
- Travel by bus line 120 from Bolzano railway station. Get off at the Auer Hilbweg bus stop.
Recommended equipment
A bicycle helmet, sufficient drinking water, sun protection, weather-appropriate clothing, and a small repair kit.
