To the Fiè Lake via Seiser Alm

This varied mountain bike tour leads from Val Gardena across the impressive high alpine plateau of the Seiser Alm / Alpe di Siusi to the idyllic Völser Weiher (Lake Fiè).

General description
A highly enjoyable scenic route with the opportunity to take a refreshing dip and swim in the natural Dolomite lake Völser Weiher (Lake Fiè).
Route description

Start from Monte Pana and follow the forest road to Saltria> continue on the asphalt road to Compatsch> descend along the winding Seiser Alm road> in the upper part of Siusi allo Sciliar, shortly before the roundabout towards Castelrotto / Alpe di Siusi, turn into Schlernstraße and continue to the Seiser Alm cable car valley station (Schlernstraße 39)> from there follow the cycle path Seis–Fiè (cycle route 292) to the small St. Konstantin church> then turn left and climb along trail no. 13 (watch out for hikers) to the Völser Weiher (Lake Fiè).
Return: along the same route.

Description to arrive at destination

The tour starts at Monte Pana in Santa Cristina, which can be reached by bike or by taking the Monte Pana chairlift from S. Cristina.

Parking
Ideally, you can reach the starting point by bike or by public transport. Alternatively, there are parking facilities at Monte Pana.
Public transport
Bus to the bus stop S. Cristina Municipio/Rathaus with the bus line 350 or 352.

Later cycle up to Monte Pana.
Safety instructions
RULES OF CONDUCT:
· Give way to pedestrians.
· Respect signage and stay on the trail.
· Close pasture gates and don’t scare animals.
· Always ride in a way that allows
you to stop in case of emergency.
· Use your brakes smoothly
in order not to ruin trails.

At the beginning of the summer season, some sections may still be snow-covered, depending on weather conditions. Please enquire about conditions before setting off on your hike.

Equipment
To avoid injury when cycling, it is very important to wear a cycle helmet, cycling clothing and sturdy shoes. A drink, snack, sunscreen, sunglasses, gloves and protectors should also be carried in the backpack.
