Tour Schenna - Reschensee lake
E-Bike & Pleasure Cycling
Reschennsee lake is one of the most important reservoirs in the Vinschgau Valley, as it was artificially created only after the end of the Second World War. Before the reservoir was built, the small village of Graun was located in this valley. To this day, the church tower still rises out of Lake Resia and has become one of South Tyrol’s most iconic landmarks.
The Vinschgau cycle path, also known as the Adige cycle route, is considered one of the most beautiful cycling routes in South Tyrol. It follows former Roman roads for much of the way and offers breathtaking views of the mountains, historic castles, and picturesque orchards.
If you do not wish to cycle the entire way back from Reschennsee lake to Schenna, you can take the train from Mals to Merano.
The tour starts in the centre of Schenna. You can reach the starting point via Merano. Follow the signs towards Schenna and drive to the village centre.
