Cycling in the Dolomites is on the to-do list of every mountain-biker and road cyclist. Declared a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site since 2009, the region between Val Pusteria to the north and Valle Isarco to the west offers a unique variety of high-alpine trails and legendary pass roads, which has to be done at least once in a lifetime by ambitious road cyclists and fans of the Giro d'Italia. Falzarego, Gardena, Sella, Campolongo and Pordoi pass are the most well-known pass roads in the Dolomites, but don't forget Passo delle Erbe or Passo Pampeago.

One of the best known mountain-bike tours in the Dolomites is the Sellaronda tour. Just like in winter, you can access lifts, trails or forest roads either in Val Gardena or in Alta Badia, and enjoy the most beautiful areas of the region within one day.
Just as great as Sellaronda, is a round tour of Latemar Mountain in Val d'Ega/Eggental, the Stoneman tours in the Holiday region Three Peaks in the Dolomites or the emerging bike region Plan de Corones/Kronplatz.

Highlights in the Dolomites:
  • The race classics Sellaronda Hero and Dolomiti Superbike
  • The legendary Maratona dles Dolomites The Val Pusteria valley cycling track
  • The freeride trails Herrnsteig, Furcia and Pedaga at Plan de Corones
  • The Stoneman trail in the Holiday region Three Peaks in the Dolomites
