Directions
The starting point of the new forest road connection is in the village centre of Mühlbach/Rio di Pusteria. From there, follow the paved Vals road no. 11 towards Vals. The route first climbs alongside the stream before gradually gaining elevation.
After a while, you will reach a wooden bridge. Cross it and continue on a wide forest road through the woods. From here, the climb becomes much gentler and the route continues to an access road.
Follow this road to the Unteregger Farm, where you briefly join the main road. Then continue along the footpath beside the reservoir towards the Chalets Valsegg.
The forest road connection finally reaches the edge of the village of Vals, where you will find the Jochtal cable car and several places to stop for refreshments. The edge of the village of Vals is the finishing point of the tour.
