Hotel Jonathan - region Eisacktal/Valle Isarco

At the crossroads between Eisacktal/Valle Isarco and Pustertal/Val Pusteria, in the sun-kissed village of Natz-Schabs/Naz-Sciaves, stands Hotel Jonathan, one of the most famous biking spots in  Eisacktal, but also in the whole of South Tyrol. This reputation is due not only to the excellent conditions and mild climate from April to November, but also to the host Toni and his sharp humour, as well as his tour choices, which always win over his guests.

Toni has infected his son Tobi with his passion for cycling. As a certified bike guide, he too now accompanies you on most guided tours. This BikeHotel is a family affair: hostess Agnes looks after the service and well-being of the guests, while her son Simon takes care of the pleasures of the table together with his kitchen brigade.

Toni joins his guests on tours whenever possible – not because he has to, but because he enjoys it. His service: Authentically guided tours with the boss himself. His joy for biking is infectious and guarantees unforgettable days on the trails around the apple plateau.

Our weekly program

To us at the Jonathan‘s, it is very much a matter of the heart that every biker gets his or her money’s worth and can fully enjoy the vacation. We therefore attach great importance to the guests’ satisfaction during the bike tours.

The tours led by our bike guides Toni and Tobi meet every taste. Whether you are a beginner or a pro, an e-biker or a bio-biker, every guest will be advised individually, and the tours are specially tailored to each participant. Small groups including bikers of the same performance level will guarantee an ultimate experience during the tours.

We offer guided mountain bike tours directly from the hotel on a daily basis. Our program also includes special e-bike tours.
An interesting tip - particularly for beginners: once a week, we offer a riding technique training with special emphasis on off-road safety.

Round Trail around the Brixen Valley Basin.
This tour may be adapted according to the participants’ performance. Ambitious bikers may cover up to 1,400 metres in height over 40 kilometres. Ranging from technical natural trails over roots and stones to flowing trails across forests, this tour offers something to everyone.

Rodenecker Alp Tour
On this tour, the bikers are shuttled to an altitude of approx. 1,700 metres at first. There, the route leads via picturesque alpine pastures to the summit at 2,00 metres. A relaxed lunch at the Kreuzwiesenhütte, a typical Tyrolean alpine hut, completes the tour perfectly. After the stop, a long downhill on natural trails starts, leading down to Mühlbach (700 metres above sea level).

E-Bike Tour
The special e-bike tours allow bikers to enjoy a greater range of activities. Even to trained bikers, an e-bike tour is absolutely recommended.
Trails that, with a bio-bike, could only be accomplished downhill, are suddenly tackled uphill.
During the tours, the guides are happy to provide participants with tips and advice on the correct use of the motors.
