Kronplatz Run & Bike 2012

In September the Kronplatz will play host to a top class sporting event: on the mountain where in winter sports lovers zoom downhill on skis and snowboards, on 9th and 10th June 2012 the 3th International KronplatzRUN will be held between Bruneck and the summit.
The race starts on Rathausplatz in Brunico/Bruneck, after which the route will run through the town centre and via St. Lorenzen and Maria Saalen to Enneberg. The course then heads uphill to the Furkel Pass and finally to the summit at 2275 metres above sea level. In total the route passes through 30 km of outstandingly beautiful natural scenery, overcoming a height differential of 1490 metres in the process.
A post-race celebration with a 360º all-round panoramic view from the mountain’s summit will provide a further highlight after the finish and prize-giving.
A great atmosphere, sportsmen and women with plenty of ambition and a challenging course for amateurs and professionals alike – overall an extraordinary premiere (no matter what the weather) and a stand-out event for athletes from all over the world.
