Around the Sass di Putia/Peitlerkofel

A circuit between Valle Isarco and Alta Badia, offering magnificent views

Mountainbike

The Sass di Putia is one of the most famous panoramic mountains in South Tyrol and sits enthroned above Passo delle Erbe. Looking across from the north it is difficult to believe that it could be at all possible to take a mountain bike tour around this Colossus. The Sass di Putia circuit is a demanding day tour and begins in Bressanone with an uphill stretch through the Eores Valley and up to the Passo delle Erbe. You cycle on to the Göma Pass, pushing the bike for some of the way. The stretch from the Göma Pass to the Passo Poma is one of the loveliest of the tour and is an absolute highlight. You can stop for a wonderful snack at Schlüter Hut or later at the Gampenalm, to build up your resources for the return journey through the Zanser Alm, San Pedro, Tiso and Albes and back to Bressanone.
