Like the Monte Sol Trail, the Tschilli Trail starts high above Laudes in San Martino al Monte. To get there from the valley town of Castelbello-Ciardes in Val Venosta, either cycle under your own steam on a good tarmac road, or take the shuttle or funicular from Laudes. (Note: Bikes are carried only from 7 am to 8.30 am and from 3 pm to 6 pm once per day). Thanks to the excellent trail marking, it is easy to find your way up here to the beginning of the Tschilli Trail and all the many different routes in different degrees of difficulty. You never lose sight of the Val Martello glacier region opposite.
