A mountain bike holiday in the Dolomites

Mountain biking in a UNESCO World Heritage Site

A mountain bike holiday in the Dolomites belongs on every mountain biker’s bucket list. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009, the region between Pustertal/Val Pusteria in the north and the Eisacktal/Valle Isarco in the west offers a unique variety of high-Alpine trails and excellent bike parks.

If you haven’t seen it with your own two eyes, you might not believe just how close you can get to the rock faces of the pale mountains on your mountain bike, how wonderfully the trails wind through lush Alpine meadows, or how many beautiful and rustic huts and fast lifts there are here.

Biking areas in the Dolomites
Not all Dolomite mountains are the same – Eggental/Val d'Ega with the Rosengarten/Catinaccio is very different from Kronplatz/Plan de Corones. Likewise, Gröden/Val Gardena has different characteristics than the Three Peaks Dolomite Region and Alta Badia. Nevertheless, what all the regions have in common are the magnificent landscapes, the friendly people, and the extraordinary mountain scenery.
