Puflatsch-Umrundung

283 Puflatsch loop route

Mountainbike

General description

The Puflatsch loop route leads you all the way around Kastelruth's home mountain, past the Panidersattel to St. Ulrich and with the areal cableway up to the Seiser Alm, the highest point of the tour. The following descent leads along country roads back to Kastelruth. Due to the closure of the Tränka road (Pufels/Bulla), this year there is a variant via St. Ulrich/Ortisei.

Route description
To take the Puflatsch loop route, head towards Tiosels from Kastelruth and follow the route until you cross the main road, then continue along the small path. From here, the route is packed with variety, ranging from small, peaceful tarred roads through to the uphill stretch leading past S. Michele and on to the Panider Sattel. From there it's downhill to the valley station of the St. Ulrich-Seiser Alm cable car which takes you to Mont Seuc. Over wide path and with impressive panorama the tour finally reaches the main road on the Seiser Alm, which leads past Compatsch in weaving bends towards Seis am Schlern. At the foot of the Puflatsch, the final stretch leads back to Kastelruth. This route is ideal for e-bike riders.
