Roadbike: Südtiroler - Trientner Weinstraßen

Circular tour from Kurtatsch a.d.W. via Roverè della Luna, Lavis and San Michele all'Adige with return along the Adige Cycle Path.

From Kurtatsch a.d.W., follow the Wine Road to the sports field in Margreid a.d.W., where you turn right heading south. The route continues along the cliffs via Aichholz (Roveré della Luna) to just before Mezzocorona, where the road turns east towards San Michele. Continue south, cross the Adige bridge at Zambana and ride to Lavis, where you turn towards Pressano. The route climbs through Panizza di Sopra and Masen, then descends again to San Michele all'Adige. From there, follow the Adige Cycle Path up to Neumarkt. Continue to Tramin a.d.W. and return to Kurtatsch a.d.W. via the Wine Road.

Directions

The tour starts in the centre of Kurtatsch a.d.W. and follows Kirchgasse. The route then continues along the main road towards Margreid a.d.W. and on to Roverè della Luna. From there, it follows the Adige Cycle Path past Nave San Rocco. After crossing the Adige River, the route continues past Pianizza di Sopra and Ville towards San Michele all'Adige. It then leads through Laag and Neumarkt to Tramin a.d.W., before returning to the starting point in Kurtatsch a.d.W.

Description to arrive at destination

Take the A22 Brenner Motorway to the Neumarkt–Auer–Tramin exit. From there, follow the signs along the South Tyrolean Wine Road towards Tramin a.d.W. and continue on to Kurtatsch a.d.W.

Public transport

  1. From Bolzano Bus Station, take Bus Line 120 to Auer. There, transfer to Bus Line 122, which takes you directly to Kurtatsch a.d.W.
From Bolzano Railway Station, take the regional train to Auer and then Bus Line 122 to Kurtatsch a.d.W.

Please check in advance whether bicycles can be taken on the bus.
