Altfasstal Valley

Discover the Altfasstal on two wheels

E-Bike & Pleasure Cycling

Explore the Altfasstal by mountain bike and ride to two welcoming mountain huts. This tour is ideal if you want to combine nature with a sporting challenge.

Directions

The starting point is at the Altfasstal parking lot at 1,600 metres. From there, ride slightly downhill to the Altfassbach. A gentle climb through the valley follows, including two short, steeper sections. Along the way, you can enjoy views of the Fallmetzer and Gurnatsch mountains.

At the end of the valley, you will reach the Pranterstadlhütte at 1,833 metres and the Wieserhütte at 1,850 metres. Both are suitable places for a break. You can also combine the tour with a hike to the Seefeld lakes and the Seefeldspitze at 2,715 metres. Return along the same route.

Parking

You can park either at the Altfasstal parking lot or at the Gitschberg cable car valley station parking lot.

Author's tip

Don’t have your own bike with you? You’ll find the right bike at Bike Rental Peppi by the church in Maranza or at Rentasport at the Gitschberg cable car valley station. Starting from there makes the tour slightly longer and particularly suitable for ambitious bikers.
