Giro delle Dolomiti 2026

more regions 7/13/2026 - 7/17/2026

The organisers of the Giro delle Dolomiti are sticking to the tried and tested for the 49th edition. The popular cycling tour through the magnificent mountain world of the Dolomites will take place from 13 to 17 July 2026 and offers cycling enthusiasts from all over the world.

The Giro delle Dolomiti 2026 takes place over five stages across South Tyrol and Trentino, combining world-class cycling with the stunning scenery of the Dolomites. Stage one starts in Bolzano and climbs via Tiers to Passo Carezza – 78 km and 1,650 m of ascent. Stage two is the legendary Sellaronda, one of the most iconic cycling loops in the Dolomites: 107 km, 3,100 m elevation gain, and four famous passes around the Sella massif. Stage three heads up to the Ritten (Renon) – shorter but demanding, with 20.5 km and nearly 950 m of climbing. Stage four leads into Trentino from Predazzo over the Passo Rolle to Falcade: 85 km and 2,480 m, making it the toughest day. The final stage starts in Meltina and San Genesio and returns to Bolzano: 51 km and 1,336 m of climbing. Each stage offers Dolomite panoramas, timed sections, and the unique mix of challenge and enjoyment that defines the Giro delle Dolomiti.

Cycling in a group and the tough mountain time trial

Incidentally, the organisers continue to rely on the recognised and unique format of the Giro delle Dolomiti. The majority of each stage is covered at a reduced pace in a group. This gives participants the opportunity to socialise with like-minded people and make friends along the way. However, there is also a mountain time trial on each section. The length varies between 6 and 16 kilometres with a difference in altitude of between 422 and almost 1200 metres. Here, cyclists can push themselves to their heart's content and the time recorded is also used for the overall ranking.

Registrations for the Giro delle Dolomiti are open on the official website at www.girodolomiti.com. The entry fee for all five stages is between 550 / 650.- euros based on the date of registration. Each participant will receive a loto of services and a comprehensive starter pack with high-quality products, which also includes the official cycling jersey of the Giro delle Dolomiti 2026. Interested parties can also register for individual stages. The entry fee for this is 130 euros.
