The bike wash at the BikeHotels
What do you need to clean your bike? A water hose and an old T-shirt to use as a cloth – and that’s good enough, right? Or maybe not? At home, that may be sufficient, but at BikeHotels the expectations for a proper bike wash are quite different.
What does the bike wash area at a BikeHotel in South Tyrol look like? Depending on the category, the features vary: in a 3-star hotel, it may be less luxurious, but you will always find clean cloths and equally clean brushes, bike detergents – by the way, some BikeHotels even offer vegan detergents from Neatflow – and, of course, stands to hold your bike securely while washing it.
For us, it is important that the wastewater does not flow into the green meadows but instead into a proper drainage system, ideally with an oil separator, because it’s incredible how much dirt and grease can accumulate on a bike.
And if you really care, don’t just clean your bike – take care of the chain as well with high-quality wax or oil. Which, of course, you’ll find at your BikeHotel.
